"THIS VICTORY WE DEDICATE TO YOU, KOSTYA»

Since 2011, the "Legends Cup" was named after Konstantin Eremenko, who passed away in March of 2010. This proposal was made by the founder and general manager of the tournament Tamerlan Kuriev. The list of participants remained the same as in 2010. The tournament was attended by teams of Russia, Italy, Portugal, Holland, Germany and Spain.

In the finals for the first time, it was not Russia and Spain that agreed, but Russia and the Netherlands. “We can beat your powerful team only if it goes for a walk in a nightclub until the morning,” representatives of the “orange” laughed on the eve of the decisive match. “It seems that your football players have not finished their careers yet. In this they are in order! ”- sincerely surprised the striker of the German national team Oliver Neuville.

As part of the 2011 Legends Cup charity program, Fernando Couto, Ronald de Boer, Luigi di Biagi, Dmitry Alenichev and Alexei Smertin visited the oncology department of one of the capital’s children's hospitals.
